Even though the shutters are transparent, they're still made of durable lexan, which is stronger than glass and impact resistant. Any area where it is desirable to see in but keep others out would benefit from a clear lexan shutter.

In the case that a more resistant shutter is desired, the clear lexan shutter system can be outfitted with extruded aluminum slats to create a solid barrier with a 'window' looking in and out.
